At a networking event that I attended last week I spoke with a gentleman who was interested in changing the scope of his existing business. During the course of our conversation I mentioned a few pans that I have in the fire, and how I am able to have my primary business (Sidewalk Designs), but also several secondary endeavors (one of which is the longislandbiz2biz.com). I explained that I did not feel the need to abandon my primary business, which is thriving, in order to branch out with these other things. He said "Oh! You have tried alot of things."

It happened again yesterday! I was sitting there in a client's office minding my own business when I overheard the staff talking about the latest ad they were placing in a local publication.

"You already have a slogan" I said. "We need something snappy for this ad", they all complained.
